I am a plant ecologist by training and life-long interest. Spending as much of my time outside enjoying, looking at and discovering what is happening in the natural world is a daily activity for me. My appreciation of Oregon’s natural diversity was fostered by teaching plant ecology and field botany courses at Lane Community College, Eugene OR, and along with my students, exploring and learning about ecosystems from the coast to central Oregon.
iNaturalist has helped me virtually explore all the places I studied during my undergrad, graduate and research career paths, and research observations for accurate id’s. I am learning and re-learning daily.
