I am a research scientist at Duke University, specializing in marine conservation. A lifelong outdoor enthusiast, I’m professionally focused on quantitative analyses of global changes that are rooted in field surveys and population sampling. This has taken me on journeys through remote coral atolls, deep submarine canyons, ancient museum archives, cloud computing clusters, wildlife trafficking supply chains, and government legislatures. Throughout it all, I’m a visual thinker and a committed science communicator, so I always try to take pictures.
