We have PTSD and attempt to connect using Nonviolent Communication (NVC).

We do not appreciate binary thinking: good/bad, right/wrong, us/them. We question what binaries open up and what they close down (render invisible). Multiple things can be true at once, even seemingly contradictory things. Binaries can help reduce confusion, simplify. They also can label, limit, reduce, react. We try to opt for complexity.
