At the moment, I am a graduate student in the Ecology Program at San Diego State University, where I am studying temporal dynamics in plant-pollinator networks. My research is focused on understanding how the magnitude of interaction turnover, and the source(s) of turnover, change across a single year in local chaparral habitats.
As you might have guessed, I like observing, collecting, and identifying plants and flower-visiting insects. I spend a lot of time doing this, and have had modest success at turning my passion for these communities into a paycheck. I am always interested in learning new skills and refining my knowledge of plant-pollinator communities. I also enjoy engaging with others and hope to learn more about what draws you to science, nature, and iNat.
If you would like to speak to me regarding my research, plant-pollinator interactions in general, insect and plant identification, or to just say “hey”, send me a message.
