That alligator has pearly whites! I do not think I have ever seen a fairy shrimp before, it is strangely pretty.
(@dark-shark those are such great photos! Don’t forget to give them titles.)
I’m bad at observing , but at least I’m still moderate at photography!
I think you are better than moderate at photography. Hey, what is the plant in the first one? I did not even see the bird until you titled it.
(I am really good at observing, just terrible at identifying, pretty bad at photography. I tell myself the world needs all types to work, but maybe I am just self-consoling.)
Thanks , and the plant seems to be some type of Hydrangea (Planted) if someone could clear it up that would be nice
Raging bull
Big Bird’s brother
Hairy snail.
On a serious note though, if anyone has any tips for photographing tiny hairy snails at night then I’m all ears. I’d like to try focus stacking to get better detail but I’m not sure that will be possible even with something as slow moving as a snail. Also the lighting is very tricky to avoid reflections or blowing out the highlights on the hairs.
Wow, those are some great photos! Do you mind sharing the species?
Sorry I forgot those.

Thorny Perch
I know chickadees aren’t exactly the most uncommon birds, but I love the little guys. Black-Capped Chickadee (Poecile atricapillus)
How in the heck did you actually manage to get such a good pic of a belted kingfisher? These birds never let me get close
very lucky! I spotted her a bit down stream and was able to close some distance while keeping behind bushes. then leaned out from behind the bush slowly til I had a clear shot. still some distance away but closest I’ve ever managed in over 3 years.
Great photos! Don’t forget to name them!
I really like how very not awake the “green dude” looks. (I feel the exact same way today.)
Saludos @eloise_kerroux, welcome to the forum!
Hi ! Thanks @ItsMeLucy :)
Wow @Yugaa these are wonderful! I think the first is a duck (sorry, I am pathetically bad with birds) and the portrait of the pelican is so so good, but what are the wee friends on the branch? I love how they are sitting together, very sweet!
They’re named, under the photo.
I must be typing it wrong but I do not find it?
