Hi there everyone. Welcome to the 2023 Inaturalist forum Wildlife photography competition.

Rules
- Anyone can enter.
*Anyone can vote.
- Maximum of 3 photos per contestant.
- Must contain some form of wildlife, flora, fauna, or any other life form excluding humans.
- All photos that you enter must be taken by you.
- Photos can be from any time and anywhere.
- You are not allowed to vote for your own photos.
- For voting purposes can you please name your photos.
- 3 votes each.
- There is no prize.
For round 1 of voting, I will choose the best 20 photos for each of the three categories Plants, Animals, and all other forms of life (excluding humans) these three categories will be put on three individual polls.
For round 2 of voting The top photo from each category after Round 1 of Judging will be put together in another Poll and the winner of that will be the overall winner.
Entry closes - on the 2nd of April 2023
Round 1 of voting starts - on the 1st of April 2023
Round 2 of voting starts - on the 6th of May 2023
The winner will be announced on the 4th of June 2023

I think it would be really nice if submitters also include the links to the observations. Sometimes, I would like to read more about the subject of the photo.

Is there a prize? Will the winning photos be published somewhere (other than this thread in the forum) or is this more of a just-for-fun sort of thing?

I’m a little confused. Are only members who submit photos to the contest allowed to vote? And if you’re choosing the winners of each round – what is the point of voting, anyhow?
(Be prepared for some feedback if you, a self-proclaimed birder, get a little too feathery in your winner choices!)
