I’ve created this place (https://www.inaturalist.org/places/grants-beach-walking-trail) for a personal project. This observation’s accuracy circle (https://www.inaturalist.org/observations/19608213) is partially outside of the place area, but it’s still in my collection project. Not complaining as I want it in the project, but does this mean there’s actually a small margin of tolerance for inclusion in an area?
I may be totally mis-remembering, but I think the accuracy circle has to fall outside the bounding box (rectangular extent) of the place, not just the place boundary itself. This being a somewhat diagonal place, I can see where the 61 meter accuracy circle of this observation might still fit within the bounding box of the place.
