Condylostylus longicornis are usually green but are sometimes seen in a rainbow coloration. It’s a bit like seeing a unicorn, feels very special to spot one. (I’ve seen several now.)

These flies are a bit of an addiction for me too. And can easily become a distraction when there’s a bunch of them and I’m looking for newer bugs! ‘Oooh, shiny!’ all the way, right?
Pride-of-India, aka golden-rain tree, Koelreuteria paniculata, has beautiful autumn colours and strange bladder-like fruits. In the UK it’s very rarely self-sown from planted trees, but often where there’s one, there’s several. Here’s a clump of some self-sown saplings at a park’s edge, showing red, orange, yellow, true green, purple, and a bluey-green:
