I would guess that this is because only a smaller proportion of Hemipterans undergo complete metamorphosis. iNat does restrict the annotations available by taxon, so I would guess that Hemiptera only have egg/nymph/adult options. The level of taxonomic detail at which annotations are available varies, so I don’t know it in this particular case. Also, I think only the males have pupae?
