Just yesterday I heard a Wood Duck, or Maned Duck, or Maned Goose (Chenonetta jubata). We have seen them high up in our forest trees before. This one was calling and I saw her mate circling so hopefully there’ll be ducklings or goslings around soon. She was so high up that the photos I took (through a gap in the forest) were blurred, but enough to identify. A couple of the photos came out as silhouettes, which I love.
not something I normally go for, but on this day I got to the beach too early!
Oooh! A project for this!!! Yay!
These photos are AMAZINGLY BEAUTIFUL!!!
Kind of a silhouette. I was out blacklighting - Not sure why the color came out like this - I didn’t alter this in any way.
Thanks :)
Yet another potential great album cover. In fact a lot of the photos in this thread fall into that category

My Eurasien squirrel for example
Wow, that last one looks like a painting!
Luckily the Trumpeter Hornbill is distinctive enough in silhouette to ID as these were the only shots I will probably ever get of one https://inaturalist.ala.org.au/observations/171294564
Wow! Love these!
