Best ways to handle lots of observations for a BioBlitz

I have used iNat for years but always thought you had to upload one observation at a time but this thread seems to be saying you can bulk upload and then add IDs later. Is that right and if so can someone point me to the place where it can be done. That would be enormously useful. Thanks.

Are you using the phone app or the website to upload?

On the app, visit the settings page to turn off automatic upload, and then once you have a bunch of observations queued up, hit upload at the top and it uploads them all.

OR

Visit https://www.inaturalist.org/observations/upload and drop all your photos there. If you’ve never used to web uploader before, it takes some getting used to. For example, combine photos into one observation either by selecting them and clicking combine, or by dragging each one on top of the previous one.

Another trick that never occurred to me but I read somewhere: if you do upload without placing IDs first, you can look at your own observations in identify mode: https://www.inaturalist.org/observations/identify?reviewed=true&user_id=arboretum_amy&place_id=any
Replace my name with yours. If you don’t see what you’re looking for, try unchecking “reviewed” (since I haven’t done it a lot I am not sure if new obs will show up as reviewed or unreviewed.)
