Bioblitz Botanische Gärten (Botanical gardens) 2025 in comparison

Actually there is a Bioblitz going on from June 14th to June 22nd . Some botanical gardens in Austria, Germany and Switzerland are looking for WILD creatures within their boundaries.
i have just compared 3 of them, and I myself are part of Graz. On June 17th, 16 o´clock :
Observations Species Participants Identificators
Graz 4.373 912 65 229
Wien 396 219 35 77
Münster 67 52 5 19

Klagenfurt is not taking part, although it has a big and interesting botanical garden. I regret this!

I wonder if somebody has an explanation is for the obvous difference between the three Botanical Gardens, especially concerning the number of participants.
The world is full of unexpected mysteries!
Some time is still left, and perhaps at the end I will be surprised, who knows?

Graz and Wien are obvious, but why did I look at Münster? Because I am a big fan of the crime series “Wilsberg”!

Graz has both biodiversity and an active iNat community.

Most of CNC25 averages around 40% RG.
(The ‘winner’ remains at 4%)

But Graz is at almost 60%. Clearly successful both at motivating good obs, and the taxon specialists to ID them.

Graz is just insane (in a good way). I’m part of the Bonn team and we’re doing quite well too, but I don’t think we can get anywhere near the numbers you got. But who knows… ;)

I personally would have thought Frankfurt would have a huge lead, but their three gardens each have a project of their own.
