Here’s a chance to get specific :)
I just went through Double-Barred Finch (Stizoptera bichenovii) IDs for the Northern Territory of Australia. Common little bird. Has two subspecies and one lives towards the West and North, the other in the East of Australia. One has a black rump (annulosa), the other white (bichenovii). Parts of the NT potentially are overlap zones.
My request is please attempt to get a birdie backside or top of bird shots so I can work out which subspecies in potential range overlap zones. So many single beautiful face shots. But I don’t care if that drinking finch shot is a little blurred because it’s the colour that counts for the subspecies ID. So please add it!
