I’m a cold lover by heart, but I am extremely jealous of Australia’s amazing fauna!

Same! Australia is a birder’s (and herpers, and insect-lover’s, and practically everything else’s) paradise!

Well, you have some great fauna I’m sure as well (arthropods, at least). Oh, and literally my favourite conditions to go outside are "cold, wet & rainy, lol.

We’ve had great waterfowl in the South Sound recently, but no snow. It gets cold quickly, but we usually don’t get snow until January/February. My waterfowl highlight so far was a Whooper Swan that hung out at a nearby lake this week!
