I have one main pair, the Zeiss Terra ED 8x42s, and they work amazing anywhere!
I started seriously birding in 2020.
Speaking of birding, I’m visiting CA from TX and went out to the Bolsa Chica wetlands in Huntington Beach yesterday - lots of birds and wildlife, delightful space to be in. When we got there, a sora came out and just hung out in the open, never seen that before.
Wow! Great photos!
Awesome! I am sixteen and I got into birding last year. The bird that got me fired up was the Cedar waxwing. I’m excited for what adventures are to come with my birding passion.
Great photos! I have many Red-bellied Woodpeckers in my area. Also a few Pileated Woodpeckers in my area to.
Nice! I’ve always wanted a pair! I started with a cheap pair from Amazon called the Celestron Outland x 10x42. I recently got a pair of Vortex triumph HD 10x42.
Also more great photos!
Anyone record bird songs and calls? I really want to start recording. Any recommendations on budget mics for recording? I’m leaning towards a shotgun mic.
There are contests (eBirder of the Month) to win these binoculars.
Yes I know. I’ve always wanted to win a pair from the
Ebird contest.
Your enthusiasm for birding and for iNaturalist are good to see.
Thanks!
Any cool birds seen today?
A stunning male purple finch came to the feeders today.
Awesome! This past weekend when I went birding I saw a female Purple Finch.
Quite a few bald eagles and a black capped chickadee at the feeder.
I’m just curious, you said that there was quite a few Bald eagles and a Black-capped Chickadee at the feeder. What do you mean by there was a quite a few Bald eagles at the feeder? Do you have a feeder for Bald eagles?
No, the bald eagles were flying around. The chickadee was at the feeder. I should have made my previous message more clear.
I don’t think a bald eagle feeder would be legal or safe.
