I guess this feature request was proposed after collection projects were introduced, but probably some relevant projects hadn’t been created yet. They fulfil a lot of the functionality desired here I think.
There are decent projects filtering for carnivorous plants, mangroves, trees, lichens (alternate), seaweeds, moths (alternate / everything except moths), sea slugs, etc.
If anyone takes issue with the species lists of any of those projects you can message the project’s admin, or duplicate it.
I helped someone create this project for succulent plants, but a number of the most-observed species are obviously not succulents and neither of us are interested in maintaining the list. If anyone is passionate about succulents I’m happy to hand the project over to you.
I also made this project for graminoids but I’m just guessing at what counts there. Also locusts… Land slugs are another group that could be done.
