Deleting a flagged comment should not delete the flags that discuss it

Deleting a flagged comment should not delete the flags that discuss it
I just deleted one of the comments on an observation, only to find that the flag is now a 404 page.

That seems a rather unfortunate bug, how are we to keep track of not nice people, or the admin comments relating to the issue ?

Can that flag be resurrected (I have a copy of the web page …)

This is relevant to a larger discussion here:

https://forum.inaturalist.org/t/ability-for-curators-to-delete-other-users-comments-vs-hide/548

and a good example of why we need to re-think this functionality.

Yes, I’m going to close this because we are likely going in the direction of not being able to delete comments.

@kueda implemented this! :trophy: Flags aren’t deleted when the flagged content was deleted.

Curators can also see the text of the original flagged item, in a “Flaggable Content” section on the flag, even if the content has since been edited or deleted. (Except for flagged messages, which only iNat staff can see.)
