We’re featuring El Salvador on the World Tour today.
Here are the GADM Level 1 and Level 2 places we’re using. Thoughts on these places?
What else can we do to get more people using iNaturalist in El Salvador?

Hello, I wanted to change an area of my country that is not correctly drawn (https://www.inaturalist.org/observations?place_id=11901) I wanted to know if I can change it or just someone with a special rank.
If it’s a user-created place, you can message the creator to ask if they will change it, or make your own place with the correct boundaries and ask a site curator to merge them. However, it looks like it might be a “Standard” place, which only curators can edit. I’m not entirely sure, so you should probably wait for someone more knowledgeable to reply.
Sorry that there is an error in the boundary for this place. The source of the problem is GADM – you can see their incorrect boundary here: https://gadm.org/maps/SLV/chalatenango.html
You can try contacting GADM about fixing the problem here: http://rasterra.com/contact/gadm_contact_form
No one can edit this place in iNaturalist except staff – not even curators. However, editing places is very difficult for the system, and I’m not sure how quickly staff might be able to address this issue.
OK thanks for the help
oh what a shame, I thought that at least someone could edit it, well I’ll try to get in touch with someone from GADM thanks for your help
