I manage a few traditional projects on iNaturalist that are now large enough where we can’t export the observations from the iNaturalist project page and instead have to use the iNaturalist export tool. As a work around, we have been using the filter “pcid=true” to filter for observations that have been identified and reviewed by one of our approved curators on the project.
- “&pcid=true” in the URL filter means curated for ANY project right? not necessarily ours?
I am comparing the observations within our inaturalist project Herps of Texas that are “&pcid=true” versus the research grade observations that have an identification from one of our curators and the numbers do not match up:
but if you look at observations within the project that are pcid=true, but are NOT identified by one of our curators, the numbers dont match the difference in the above (link here: https://www.inaturalist.org/observations?without_ident_user_id=laspade,kvotx,jmarrugo,croelke,russellm08,sandboa,gtsalmon,cullen,wild-about-texas,texasnaturetrackers,taniahomayoun,craighensley,nathanrains,paul_crump,andygluesenkamp,toby,wendelia,caudisona&project_id=411&quality_grade=research&pcid=true).
Can someone explain what I am not getting here? Or if there is a better/best solution to exporting data from our iNaturalist projects that have been identified by one of our curators.
