Thanks to the influence of traditional medicine, consumption of threatened and/or poisonous species is already concerning. This culture has already contributed to the overexploitation of many species in and outside China, within ginseng being one of them. I can’t predict how it would end up being used in Chinese communities, but the worst scenario I can imagine is a very bad one.
