Found a dead bird hanging from a fishing line in a tree

On a local lake hotspot filled with breeding cormorants and herons, today I saw the body of a dead cormorant swinging in the wind. It was hanging from a fish-hook through its bill attached to fishing line tangled in the breeding tree. Lots of the trees around this lake have fishing hooks dangling in them from bad casts. Anyway, the bird apparently could not free itself, and it must have died a long and suffering death. I was so upset I had to leave.

Is there any organization who might want to see or use these photos? I would feel a little better if some tiny good might come from others seeing this sad example. I’ll send it to my local Parks Dept, who oversees this hotspot. Anyone else come to mind?
