Giant leopard moth caterpillar having what looks like a prolapse?

my giant leopard caterpillar has a jelly looking, see through yellow thing, sticking out of its bum. how can i help it? i don’t want this friend to die.

Without a photo, it’s hard to say what’s going on, but if you post it as an observation on iNaturalist.org, you’ll probably get lots of suggestions. It might be a parasitoid emerging

With that being said, if it really is a prolapse/parasitoid, there’s nothing you can really do to save it. Prolapses sometimes mysteriously vanish on their own but the causes of that aren’t well known.

(Sorry for the downer.)

damn. i had a feeling it couldnt be saved. thank you for the information!
