I am trying to begin a monthly party between my friends and I to get them to join iNat + be interested in moths/nature in general with me; yay citizen science!
I thought that host a “Moth Party” once a month to identify moths with friends would be a fun idea.
I have never really looked too closely at moths and I have already read some posts here on the forums about different book recommendations, how to identify moth body parts, etc. But I still would like any and all information I could receive about identification of moths, best times to do moth watching, etc.
Any tips or advice for someone like me? Thank you in advance and please be kind. This is my first post on the forum (so happy to find that this place exists!)
Context: Our parties will be hosted in New England, USA.
