How can I download data from iNaturalist if I want to include non-RG data points?

And that’s why it isn’t optimal for the study I’ve in mind. A taxonomic dispute in the taxon in question means that a high percentage of the observations will be stuck at genus. That does not affect the data I am looking for, but it unnecessarily limits the number of data points if GBIF only includes “RG” data points. So, to modify the question: How can I download data from iNaturalist if I want to include non-RG data points?

just do a normal search in Explore, and by default the filter is set to Verifiable observations, ie RG and Needs ID. Then just click download to export the data

Thank you. The splitting off of this thread did require me to do a bit off digging, though: back to the other thread to find the reference to the ‘How should I cite iNaturalist?’ on the help page, then to the help page in question to find how to cite data not from GBIF:

If you must cite a download directly from iNaturalist rather than one from GBIF, please use this format:
iNaturalist community. Observations of [species list] from [geographic area], [country name] observed on/between [date range]. Exported from https://www.inaturalist.org on [date]
