Pictures downloaded from iNat seems to lose most of the metadata atteched to it (particularly on camera settings). Is there any way to download them with all of the metadata stil attached?
Upon uploading metadata (i.e. EXIF) is deleted from the images, some of which is stored separately for displaying (but the images themselves don’t have it).
If you don’t need lots of photos downloaded you can click on “i” icon on the photo and metadata will be shown there and you can copy that.
In my case, all metadata is saved if the ultimate destination is Google photos. If I took photos with dedicated cameras, then they get to iNat without the exif data, and I have to do everything manually.
