How does Trusting Umbrella projects work?

Hello guys,

i have a couple projects with some friends and we created an umbrella project for those.
We mostly upload the observations for these projects with obscured locations, hence i rely on the “Trust” option.

I noticed that the umbrella project also has a “Trust” option. How exactly would this work?

Currently my friends have to join all my projects and trust them.
Would it be possible for them to just join the umbrella project and trust that one to make obscured locations visible when i look at their observation in the umbrella project?

Could i also see the obscured locations when they only join the umbrella project, but i look for observations in a “child-project” to only show specific genuses?

That would make things way easier, since they only would have to join one single umbrella project.

I haven’t tried it, but I think you’ll have to be trusted in whatever project you’re searching in to see coordinates. So, if they trust you in the umbrella, that works in the umbrella, but shouldn’t change whatever trust level they have set in a child project. At least, that’s what I expect, since child projects and umbrella projects may have different creators. You might trust one but not the other.
