How do I annotate an observation of a seed as such?
that’s not an option for annotations (unless the seed is still on the plant) , but you could use an observation field

Yes, that’s way I do it too…if the plant is still dispersing seed, I mark it as “fruiting”. That said, I’ve had conversations with multiple people who disagree (or don’t fully agree). This is something that needs clarification, perhaps in the tooltip itself. Currently the tooltip says: “Fruit visible and still attached to the plant”.
