Id like to change the names of some animals to easier ones but inat hasnt given me the access to be a curator and even if i have it, id like to know how to do it.
You need to add a flag on a taxon page, though what do you mean by “easier”?

Changing of, and making up new, common names is a topic that has a lot of discussion already here and is a subject with a lot of strong opinions.
Be wary and tread lightly.
Don’t make any changes without a very good reason, and it’s a good idea to double check even then.
