I thought Seek doesn’t upload observations by default, but there is an option to upload.
Seek observations aren’t sandboxed. If the user doesn’t use the upload option, the observations are simply not on iNat at all. And if they do, the observations are public like any other, with Seek credited as the app behind the observation.
I agree with this. I think i used inat for 2 or 3 years before i realized anything about IDing.
A big part of this is because i primarily work from the app which isn’t very conducive to IDing. I assume a lot of non-professionals are similarly using the app and not active on the forum.
