How to create a new observation field?

I am not sure if a normal user can create a Holding bin. I think some curator has to do it. Or am I mistaken? Found no info around.

There’s a button at the bottom of that page that says New observation field.

  • Navigate to https://www.inaturalist.org/observation_fields
  • Search the existing fields to see if one meets your needs
  • If not, scroll to the bottom
  • Click the New observation field button
  • Enter the Name, Decription, Data type, and Allowed values, following the guidance for formatting
  • Save
