The question is how can i delete a traditional project after i created it. In comparison with the new project templates i can’t seem to find an edit or modify button for the traditional projects.

There’s an edit link in the top right corner:
If you follow that, you’ll find the delete link at the very bottom, next to the save/cancel buttons:
