the accuracy circle around the location is often huge, covering a big chunk of North America! How does this happen and how can they keep this from happening?

The Android app has a known problem of occasionally getting the accuracy vastly incorrect. For example, when using a pinned location with a set accuracy, it may change the accuracy circle to a much greater area, such as half of North America. To correct, one simply needs to reselect the correct location.
