How to search for a particular observation number

How do I search for a particular observation number please. I have a note in my diary to check the id of a particular local observation. The observation needs better photos. But I only recorded the number, thinking it would be easy to find on iNat.

I have not figured out how to do it. Help will be appreciated.

Just paste the number in after this generic URL,
https://www.inaturalist.org/observations/

I’ve often thought the observation number, which is basically a catalog number, should appear somewhere in the observation page and not just in the URL. That number really isn’t visible if you’re working off of your phone. Not that this feature would help with searching since you would still need to use the URL for that.

Depends what type of phone you are using. On the android app, the observation number is listed on the “i” tab (though other useful info that I often need, such as a full list of the DQA items, is not).
