There will probably be a lot of opinions and versions of what to do here. What an ambitious idea. In my studies of biodiversity, I learned about the density of diversity around the tropics which lessens as you travel north and south towards the poles. Finding a specialty that will allow you a niche in a biodiverse area could be one way to make one or more of these discoveries. I think you’ll also need a good reputation and lots of hard work.
