Wikimedia Commons is my primary project and I upload most of my wildlife photos there. It’ll be great to have possibility to import files from there, so uploads will not be duplicated. Taxonomical information could be extracted from categories or recently introduced Wikidata integration.
Ditto in the case of me. It would be nice to import from Commons and also to link to my own content that has been ingested by iNat from Commons.
So what you’re asking is to have an import tool for Wikimedia Commons, similar to our current Flickr import tool?
I’m not sure what you mean here, where would the link be, and to which page would it link?
