iNat for Educators

I have created and curated a series of videos on YouTube for educators interested in using iNat. So far, I’ve covered on how to use iNat data and the nuts and bolts behind setting up a project for a school biobitliz.

You can find the link at https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLu4NnykrrlExV-VZItUtQCc9OlopxLukK

I’ve also created a bitly at https://bit.ly/inat4educatorsplaylist

These are still in draft version so please share any feedback.

Nice work, thank you. You’ve made iNat a better place for all of us by doing this!

Excellent! Now if only we could identify who the teachers are so we can share this information with them! We need the much-requested “classroom” portal.

I’m not a teacher so I haven’t looked at your videos, but I was wondering what grade levels you aimed them at? I do a lot of volunteer work with a local elementary school. Any chance your videos could be used at that level?

Some of the videos can be used with Gr 4-5.

This is a lesson I put together for Gr 5 on using iNaturalist to make observations of animals but I know a teacher who used it with her kindergarteners.

Hope you find something of use.
