Next target 20K IDs. Nearly there!

Just got 400 species and 300 annotations (I don’t annotate much lol). Random one is that I now have a journal post (I made one to recap last year- so basically it’s just a link of my Year in Review ). My next goal is 40K IDs!

I just hit 5,000 species!

I bet the next 5,000 species will take me the rest of my life.

The suspense is killing me. What was the 5000th species? Maybe it’s not the suspense. Might be the heat wave we are dealing with. It is moving out of my area this evening.

I don’t really know! Before I uploaded a bunch of moths this morning, the total stood at 4,997. After I uploaded, it was 5,002. Of course, I also caught other invertebrates in the moth traps, so it could have been this beetle or this hopper.
