iNaturalist Ambassador Community Chat

As a new Ambassador, I am hoping to organize a bug walk in the Metro Vancouver sometime soon, perhaps as part of the next CNC. The recent orientation session recommended that events conclude with a debriefing session during which participants could ID observations together. This seems like a great idea.

A couple of municipal community centres I’ve approached, though, have policies restricting room rentals to events that are not advertised to the public. (A requirement for preregistration might satisfy one venue.) Basically they don’t want people just showing up. Have others encountered similar policies? If so, how have you worked with them?
