Indirectly you can already do this. You can add observation fields in the web uploader. There are certain observation fields which are paired with the annotations which when you add the data into the observation field (note it only works this way not the other direction) it automatically populates the annotation.
You just have to find the right one in the list of observation fields, although they normally have the exact same name
