"Linked Observation" observation field not available in search

Please fill out the following sections to the best of your ability, it will help us investigate bugs if we have this information at the outset. Screenshots are especially helpful, so please provide those if you can.

Description of problem (please provide a set of steps we can use to replicate the issue, and make as many as you need.):

Step 1: I uploaded two observations, one of a larva and one of the ants that were crawling on it.

Step 2: For the ant observation, I was able to use the Observation Fields to select Linked Observation and provide the value https://www.inaturalist.org/observations/272816912. No problem.

Step 3: For the observation of the larva (presumably a moth), though, Linked Observation was not available among the potential Observation Fields.

Step 4: When I clicked in the box, most of the options that were immediately offered seemed familiar, but Linked Observation wasn’t there.

Step 5: Even when I started to type “link” (without the quotation marks), the autocomplete offered options other than Linked Observation.

Step 6: Typing “linked observation” in full (without the quotation marks) still did not result in a match.

Worked fine for me in Chrome (though I didn’t add the field, just verified that it came up with a search).

I have found that every so often the observation field I have used most recently disappears and will not show up on the list even if I search for it; generally reloading the page gets it to reappear. It is erratic and not something I have ever been able to reproduce, so I have never posted a bug report since I doubt anyone would be able to troubleshoot the cause under such conditions.

Problem reproduced just now, this time with the “Observation Group” observation field for this observation, and I’ve identified the key condition!

I got to the problematic page by using the “previous observation” arrow icon from the next observation, where I’d just used the “Observation Group” observation field without obstacle.

The troublesome observation field is available when I have approached the page from my observation list,

but not when I have approached it from the next observation.
