Can an iNat user be locked out of adding Observation Fields to their own content? I understand that in the Account Settings there is the ability to choose “Anyone”, “Curators”, or “Only you”. One user is telling me that they cannot add an Observation Field to their own observation.

They may be using the App. In the App, you can only add observation fields if you add a project with associated observation fields, and to my knowledge when you do that it always enters common names rather than scientific ones even if your preference is set to scientific names in the app.

They also may have accidentally created two accounts.

Can they edit that particular observation?
The OP claims not to be able to add an Observation Field. I’m awaiting further details from the OP on platform, OS, etc.

I cannot add fields to an observation using the iOS app. When I need to add field values, I have to use the web app, which does not work well on iPhones or iPads (frequent freezes).
So, I can only add field values using a computer and the iNat web app.
