Mass production of unvouchered [no specimens'] records fails to represent global biodiversity patterns

i think the other aspect that is getting missed here is people who are concerned about this stuff seem to think that people are doing unvouchered specimens insead of vouchered ones when 99.9% of the time they wouldn’t be taking voucher specimens anyway. The unvouchered specimens don’t displace vouchered ones, they replace ‘nothing’ and are better than nothing for sure (unless just junk data)
