Description of need:
In journal preview mode, wrap the page title in <h1> tags, not <h3> tags. See the following screen shot of a journal article in preview mode:
Feature request details:
In the previous screen shot, the phrase “Page title” (beneath the word “Preview”) is formatted with <h3> tags (which can be confirmed by viewing the source) yet that same page title is ultimately (and correctly) formatted with <h1> tags on the resulting journal page. In other words, there’s a formatting mismatch in preview mode.
Before you dismiss this feature request as a nit, please hear my silly but true story. I always use section heading markup but when I first started using the iNat journal, the mismatch described above was glaringly obvious (to me) so I refrained from using section headings altogether. I simply chalked it up to a minor failing of the journal function and moved on.
I didn’t realize until today that I was reacting to a bug in preview mode only. I need to go back to previous journal articles and apply the desired section heading markup since the final journal page is correctly formatted. Lesson learned!
