Felis catus!
(That’s one, anyways.)
I don’t get it.
It’s a facehugger from Alien.
Ah, I’ve never seen that one!
What?! You have to watch it. The second one too. Skip 3, 4, Prometheus, and the second reboot one (I don’t remember what it’s called). Finish with Romulus.
Maybe that there are 666 posts in this thread before mine is a meme itself? Not related to nature in anyway, but the only thing I could come up with.
Me again, I recently had a dream that there were a couple of moths on the side of my house with a wingspan probably comparable to that of a turkey vulture. That was a fun one!
Mothman!
Wait, this is Nature-inspired memes, not dreams! So easy to mix up!
That would be my dream come true… Unfortunately, atlas moths are hard to raise in my location, and the best I can manage are a few cecropias.
Apologies if this has been posted above; I did a search in this thread, but didn’t find it. I didn’t read all 670 replies!

Glad you posted this here. Came across this comic a few days ago and thought about posting in this memes thread. Was on my to-do list to figure out how to embed an image in the threads (as opposed to a link).
I wonder what taxon that “bug” belongs to… 2 body segments, 4 legs. The antennae and positioning of the legs suggests perhaps a humongous globular springtail to me, although the colour pattern vaguely resembles a velvet ant or perhaps a ladybird beetle. Hard to say.
On this theme of “nasty bugs”, I remember manipulating a huge cerambycid for photos in Thailand, and it was P*SSED. To the point where it chose violence, and had a chance to escape, but started following me around and trying to hurt me.
I have also had huge tropical katydids get pretty bitey, and I’m sure they would have eaten me if there wasn’t a big size difference.
In their defence, they thought they were about to die. They don’t understand the concept of “photo sessions”.
I was wondering about the origin of this phrase, and lo and behold, one of the first posts to popularize this meme, back in 2020, was a nature-inspired meme, featuring a mosquito!
It can be posted as many times as imaginable, and I will still laugh : )
