New User, Are Notes Typically Encouraged or Discouraged?

My notes are usually auto-correct garbled lists of associated taxa that I later clean up in a spreadsheet for herbarium specimen labels… But they are a bit incomprehensible to the average user :) Still trying to figure out what “facelift” autocorrected from yesterday…
