Observation near border showing up in wrong state

ideally, you shouldn’t have to shift points around.

the observation falls within Wyoming boundaries, as defined in iNaturalist:

if iNat’s boundaries are wrong, then really, the best thing is to fix the boundaries, but this sort of thing is just another instance of the situation already described in several other threads in the forum (ex. https://forum.inaturalist.org/t/poorly-drawn-municipal-boundaries/72892, https://forum.inaturalist.org/t/wrong-country-in-border-region/54405/27, https://forum.inaturalist.org/t/observations-showing-up-in-wrong-country-despite-map-placement-appearing-correct/40230, etc.) however, just based on past discussion, it’s unlikely that boundaries for “standard” places will be changed any time soon.
