A couple times lately I’ve come home from a day of bird-watching and been a bit dejected that I didn’t see anything new. Then I’ll start going through my photos and notice species in the shots I didn’t see out in the field! I think now I’m just going to get in the habit of taking tons of group shots…

Yesterday when reviewing photos, I found what appears to be a mystery creature on the abdomen of this knobbled orbweaver (Socca pustulosa). Any ideas? [IMG_8231] [IMG_8207]

[large] Young Eastern Boxelder Bugs with mites I didn’t see until I got the pics on the computer.

I can see three more even :P 10 insects in total (not counting the “teddy bear” which is part of the plant, and assuming I haven’t missed some too), classic “find the hidden objects” picture. Haha
