I see some things hiding.
I photographed the Bidens frondosa this afternoon, but it wasn’t until this evening that I discovered
its inhabitant !
Small yellow larva hanging out with this fuzzy caterpillar
I was looking for galls on goldenrod lask week, but didn’t find any. I took some photos of a katydid that I found on the goldenrod. I just noticed in the background of my photos what I think is a gall forming midge laying eggs on the goldenrod flowers.
Over the weekend I observed this double-banded scoliid wasp:
What I didn’t notice until postprocessing was the caterpillar hidden among the leaves off to the left:
Attempting to photograph the underside of galls on a rolled leaf…
I seemed to have disturbed this spider
Wow! I’ve never even seen a pseudoscorpion!
Looks like their may be a small caterpillar on a flower just to the right of the butterfly. Also what looks like insect eggs on stalks (lacewing eggs?) just to the right of the caterpillar. I like puzzles
Looks like a snail at the base of the mushroom. Could be an empty shell
Aphids, lacewing, monarch caterpillar
Yes, but I would expect it would require a picture of the aperture to identify to species. I was focused on the caterpillar but I guess it might be in a similar situation since no one IDed it.

I found a voyeur.
There is always something else… I posted this because I found the peeping critter funny.
I had a cool little triple observation the other day with this little arthropod party.
I just now noticed a moth hiding on the left side of this photograph I took 5 months ago of a pair of mating stick insects. I’ve looked at this photograph many times since then, even including it in a slideshow that I’ve shown to several groups of people.
Was going through some old observations and just recently noticed this guy chilling with these lady bugs! https://www.inaturalist.org/observations/248368253
My goodness can they have some privacy!
I was so busy trying to take a decent picture of the fish that the crab chilling next to it went completely unnoticed until I uploaded the picture.
In the end both came out all blurry anyway.
I documented a Neptunia plant. At home I detected a bug hiding on its fruits.
