Possible bug in the website. Whenever I try to set the place to explore to “Brooklyn, NY” the site instead sets it to Brooklyn Bridge Park instead of the entire borough.
The issue was that iNat had only a point-place for Brooklyn (i.e. a single lat/lon with no boundaries). The Location search brought back its next best guess that did have boundaries – Brooklyn Bridge Park.
I added boundaries to iNat’s place, and now the search correctly finds the iNat boundaries.
