I’ve had the thought recently that this may be an unintended feature for some taxa! When I upload photos of plants I often get butterfly suggestions, even though there’s not a butterfly in sight. For example, here I upload a buckwheat and the correct species is suggested first, followed by the Mormon Metalmark suggestion. This happens because the training set of Mormon Metalmarks for the CV model has so often included the Few-flower Buckwheat that it becomes one of the model targets. It seems to me that this could be exploited to generate lists of nectar plants preferred by various butterflies.
